Supporting Her Through Pregnancy and Beyond

Care and connection for every stage of the journey

Pregnancy and the transition into motherhood can bring physical, emotional and practical changes. Every woman's experience is different, and the support she needs may extend beyond clinical appointments.

Her Wellness aims to provide inclusive wellbeing education, opportunities for connection and pathways to appropriate support throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period.

We recognise the importance of listening to women, respecting their choices and helping them access information and services that meet their individual circumstances.

Maternity care, with dignity

Every Woman Deserves to Be Heard

Women may encounter barriers to understanding or accessing maternity services, including language, cultural expectations, communication difficulties, practical pressures and previous negative experiences of care.

We want to explore ways to help women feel better informed, communicate their concerns and navigate appropriate services.

Our intended approach places dignity, informed choice, inclusion and respect at the centre of support.

We recognise the importance of listening to Black and ethnic minority women while avoiding assumptions that any community shares a single experience. Our work should be informed by evidence, individual voices and local needs.

Every Woman Deserves to Be Heard

A community-led approach

What support may look like

Practical, compassionate support through pregnancy and early motherhood.

Working with maternity and clinical partners

Community Support That Complements Clinical Care

Her Wellness works collaboratively with maternity services, midwives, GPs, health visitors, mental-health teams and community organisations to explore ways of improving access to appropriate information and support.

Potential partnership activity may include community engagement, educational events, signposting and agreed referral pathways.

Any formal referral arrangement should establish eligibility, consent, information-sharing responsibilities, safeguarding procedures and the limits of each organisation's role.
